4549 Investigations Specialist (P8)
VICE-CHANCELLOR AND PRINCIPAL │ Governance, Risk and Compliance Management
Bloemfontein Campus
Main purpose of the job
To conduct investigations at the University, promote ethics, fraud prevention, and detection of crime and security breaches and misconduct.
Main tasks
- Prevention of fraud, misconduct, and ethical breaches
- Investigation of fraud and misconduct
- Investigation of ethical breaches and hotline reports
- Internal investigation procedures
- Incident Investigations
- Liaison and reporting
- Project management
Nature of appointment: Permanent support services
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 756 517 per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed)

Accordingly, the preferred candidate may expect an offer that is in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
- Relevant degree or NQF 7 qualification.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience.
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Forensic Auditing or Sciences.
- Ethics Officer Certification.
- Experience in the Higher Education environment.
- Eight (8) years’ relevant experience.
